Standard Conditions

Applicable to all promotions unless stated otherwise.

  • The promotion is conducted under the guidelines for category 4 promotional games of the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act 1999.
  • Whilst all care will be taken, Hervey Bay Boat Club will not be responsible for any malfunctions or problems relating to the Odyssey system or associated software systems.
  • Hervey Bay Boat Club shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  • Hervey Bay Boat Club accepts no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation, system failure, theft or destruction and reserves the right to take appropriate action as required on any such matters.
  • In the case of the intervention of any outside act, that hinders Hervey Bay Boat Club’s ability to proceed with the promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures or natural disasters, management may in its absolute discretion take any action that may be available to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion.
  • Staff of Hervey Bay Boat Club are ineligible to enter the promotion.
  • Management will not be liable for any unauthorised use of a member's membership card
  • Management reserves the right to change, alter and end the promotion at their discretion.

 PASSPORT TO PARADISE – MAJOR PROMOTION


Terms & Conditions
General
1.       The Passport to Paradise promotion period is from 2pm-5pm on Sundays from Sunday 7th September to Sunday 26th October 2025 (7 September, 14 September, 21 September, 28 September, 5 October, 12 October, 19 October, & 2pm-5:30pm on 26 October 2025).
2.      All members are eligible to enter the Passport to Paradise Minor Draws. Financial members who use their member card during gaming play and point of sale are eligible to enter the promotion in the following way:
a.        Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs): One (1) virtual entry will be automatically generated with every $20 turnover via any gaming machine with member card inserted from 12pm each draw date.

b.        Point of Sale (POS): One (1) virtual entry will be automatically generated with every $10 spent on food & beverage from 12pm each draw date.

3.     The Passport to Paradise Minor Draws are conducted on Sundays from Sunday 6th September to Sunday 26th October every 30 minutes from 2pm-5pm.
4.     Winning members of the Passport to Paradise Minor Draws will receive a finalist ticket to enter the Passport to Paradise Major Draw.
5.     The Passport to Paradise Major Draw is conducted on Sunday 26th October at 5:30pm.
6.     Members must be present on the listed date and times to redeem their prize.
7.      Additional proof of identity may be requested at the discretion of management.

Process
8.     All members are eligible to visit the venue on the promotion days during the advertised promotion times to enter the Passport to Paradise Minor Draws.

9.     Members can earn entries at any time throughout the promotion period via virtual entry automatically generated with every $20 gaming turnover & $10 POS spend from 12pm each draw date.

10.    The Passport to Paradise Minor Draws are conducted every 30 minutes on Sundays from 2pm-5pm.

11.     Winners will be selected at random by way of a virtual draw from the Odyssey program. The member must be present in the club at the time of the draw. Each member drawn will be given two (2) minutes from the time they have been first called over the in-house PA System, to acknowledge their presence to the staff member conducting the draw. Each member must produce their membership card to be eligible to win a prize.

12.    Any entry that remains unclaimed after a period deemed appropriate by the staff member conducting the draw, and not less than 2 minutes from the time the winning entry is first called over the in-house PA system, a redraw will be conducted.

13.    The selected member is invited to select 1x Destination Card to reveal the cash value as below:

14.      The member then selects 1x Passport Card to reveal their multiplier as below:

15.      Member will be awarded the accumulated cash prize from their Destination Card Value multiplied by their revealed Passport Card multiplier.  

16.      At the end of each draw, all Destination Cards will be taken down, reshuffled and returned to the board in time for the next draw.

17.       At the end of each draw, all Passport Cards will be taken down, reshuffled and returned to the board in time for the next draw.

18.      All winning members of the minor draws become finalists and receive an entry ticket to the Major Draw.

19.      The Passport to Paradise Major Draw is conducted at 5:30pm on Sunday 26th October 2025 with winning members selecting a Passport Scratch Card to reveal their prize as below:

20.     Winners will be selected at random from the physical barrel. The member must be present in the club at the time of the draw. Each member drawn will be given two (2) minutes from the time they have been first called over the in-house PA System, to acknowledge their presence to the staff member conducting the draw. Each member must produce their membership card to be eligible to win a prize.

21.      Any entry that remains unclaimed after a period deemed appropriate by the staff member conducting the draw, and not less than 2 minutes from the time the winning entry is first called over the in-house PA system, a redraw will be conducted.

22.     The selected member is invited to select a Passport Scratch Card to stand behind. The same process will be followed until all 3 finalists have been drawn and selected their Passport Scratch Card. The finalists then scratch the Passport Scratch Cards in unison to reveal their prize.

23.     On claiming the prize, the winner accepts full responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to the prize. The club and staff accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to prizes once claimed. The prize is only available on the day of the promotion only and will not be accepted beyond this date.

24.     Employees of the venue and Hervey Bay Boat Club Board Members are NOT eligible to enter this promotion..

25.     Conduct of the ‘Promotion’ including decision on eligibility of persons to enter, shall be the responsibility of the Club, whose decision in all matters shall be final. No correspondence shall be entered into.

26.     The Club reserves the right to discontinue or modify this promotion at any time.

WHALE OF A TIME PROMOTION

Terms & Conditions
General
1.       The Whale of a Time promotion period is from 10am-5pm on Saturday 20th September 2025.
2.      All members are eligible to enter the Whale of a Time draws. Financial members who use their member card during gaming play and point of sale are eligible to enter the promotion in the following way:
