Standard Conditions

Applicable to all promotions unless stated otherwise.

  • The promotion is conducted under the guidelines for category 4 promotional games of the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act 1999.
  • Whilst all care will be taken, Hervey Bay Boat Club will not be responsible for any malfunctions or problems relating to the Odyssey system or associated software systems.
  • Hervey Bay Boat Club shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  • Hervey Bay Boat Club accepts no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation, system failure, theft or destruction and reserves the right to take appropriate action as required on any such matters.
  • In the case of the intervention of any outside act, that hinders Hervey Bay Boat Club’s ability to proceed with the promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures or natural disasters, management may in its absolute discretion take any action that may be available to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the promotion.
  • Staff of Hervey Bay Boat Club are ineligible to enter the promotion.
  • Management will not be liable for any unauthorised use of a member's membership card
  • Management reserves the right to change, alter and end the promotion at their discretion.
  • Management’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Participation in promotions indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions.

RIDE THE WAVE – MAJOR PROMOTION

Terms & Conditions

General
1.       The Ride the Wave promotion period is from 2pm-5pm on Sundays from Sunday 4th May to Sunday 29th June 2025 (4-May, 11-May, 18-May, 25-May, 1-June, 8-June, 15-June, 22-June & 29-June 2025).
2.      All members are eligible to enter the Ride the Wave Minor Draws. Financial members who use their member card during gaming play and or Food and beverage are eligible to enter the promotion in the following way, commencing Thursday, May 1st 2025:
a.        Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs): One (1) virtual entry will be automatically generated with every $20 turnover via any gaming machine with member card inserted in the week prior to the draw dates & member to validate entries by using the card in venue from 1pm each draw date.

b.        Point of Sale (POS): One (1) virtual entry will be automatically generated with every $10 spent on food & beverage in the week prior to the draw date & member to validate entries by using the card in venue from 1pm each draw date.

3.     All entries remain in the virtual barrel until the end of the promotion Sunday, 29th June.
4.     The Ride the Wave Minor Draws are conducted on Sundays from Sunday 4th May to Sunday 29th June every 30 minutes from 2pm-5pm.
5.     Winning members of the Ride the Wave Minor Draws will receive a finalist ticket to enter the Ride the Wave Major Draw.
6.     The Ride the Wave Major Draw is conducted on Sunday 29th June at 5:30pm.
7.      Members must be present on the listed date and times to redeem their prize.
8.     Additional proof of identity may be requested at the discretion of management.

 

Process
9.     All members are eligible to visit the venue on the promotion days during the advertised promotion times to enter the Ride the Wave Minor Draws. Members can earn entries at any time throughout the promotion period via virtual entry automatically generated with every $20 gaming turnover & $10 POS spend.

10.    Members must validate entries by using the card in venue from 1pm each draw date

11.     The Ride the Wave Minor Draws are conducted every 30 minutes on Sundays from 2pm-5pm with winning members choosing game cards to reveal their cash prize and wave height as below:

12.      Winners will be selected at random by way of a virtual draw from the Odyssey program. The member must be present in the club at the time of the draw. Each member drawn will be given two (2) minutes from the time they have been first called over the in-house PA System, to acknowledge their presence to the staff member conducting the draw. Each member must produce their membership card to be eligible to win a prize.

13.      Any entry that remains unclaimed after a period deemed appropriate by the staff member conducting the draw, and not less than 2 minutes from the time the winning entry is first called over the in-house PA system, a redraw will be conducted.

14.      The selected member is invited to select 3 game cards from the board. Each game card has cash prize value and a wave height.

15.      Member will be awarded the accumulated cash prize from the game cards selected. The members combined wave height will be recorded.

16.      At the end of each draw, all game cards will be taken down and reshuffled and returned to the board in time for the next draw.

17.       All winning members of the minor draws become finalists and gain entry to the Major Draw.

18.      After the last draw of the day, the members with the three largest wave heights will be announced and awarded a bonus cash prize as below:

19.      Members must be present to win and claim their prizes within 2 minutes of the announcement, or the largest wave prizes will be adjusted accordingly, moving down the board height to the next available member.

20.     The Ride the Wave Major Draw is conducted at 5:30pm on Sunday 29th June 2025 with winning members selecting a remote-control jet ski to reveal their prize as below:

21.      Winners will be selected at random using a random number generator. The member must be present in the club at the time of the draw. Each member drawn will be given two (2) minutes from the time they have been first called over the in-house PA System, to acknowledge their presence to the staff member conducting the draw. Each member must produce their membership card to be eligible to win a prize.

22.     Any entry that remains unclaimed after a period deemed appropriate by the staff member conducting the draw, and not less than 2 minutes from the time the winning entry is first called over the in-house PA system, a redraw will be conducted.

23.     The selected member is then invited to select a remote-control jet ski to stand behind. The same process will be followed until all 3 finalists have been drawn and selected their remote-control jet skis. The finalists then turn the jet skis over in unison to reveal their prize.

24.     On claiming the prize, the winner accepts full responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to the prize. The club and staff accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to prizes once claimed. The prize is only available on the day of the promotion only and will not be accepted beyond this date.

25.     No employees of the venue are eligible to enter this promotion.

26.     Conduct of the ‘Promotion’ including decision on eligibility of persons to enter, shall be the responsibility of the Club, whose decision in all matters shall be final. No correspondence shall be entered into.

27.     The Club reserves the right to discontinue or modify this promotion at any time.
