The Hervey Bay Boat Club is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 44th Annual Bay to Bay Trailable Yacht Race, a premier sailing event held over the Queensland Labour Day long weekend.
This exciting two-day race will take place:
- Saturday, May 3rd
- Sunday, May 4th, 2025
- Race approximately 84 kilometers
- through the breathtaking waters of the Tin Can Bay Inlet, Great Sandy Strait, and Hervey Bay.
As Queensland’s largest trailable yacht race and one of the top three in Australia, this event attracts sailors from across the country for a thrilling competition amidst stunning natural surroundings. The race begins in Tin Can Bay and concludes in Hervey Bay, with an overnight stop at Garry’s Anchorage nestled between K’gari (Fraser Island) and Stewart Island. Open to eligible monohull and multihull trailable yachts, this Category 5 event emphasizes safety and self-sufficiency as it traverses remote areas with limited rescue availability during daylight hours.
