ALL WELCOME - The Hervey Bay Boat Club's world-class whale watching tour departs daily aboard our large stable vessel, Amaroo. Hervey Bay is the best destination in the world to watch humpback whales, and the Amaroo is perfectly suited for navigating the waters of the area, the world's first Whale Heritage site!
The Whales pass many cities along Australia's East Coast, but HERVEY BAY is where WHALES BIRTH, PLAY & STAY for months.

This tour departs from the opulent Hervey Bay Boat Club and passengers are invited to enjoy this well-appointed club's facilities all day (use your boarding pass for discounts all day)
Our half-day (4-hour) whale watch cruise departs daily at 8:30am from mid-July to late October. (Friday, Saturday & Sunday, there is a second afternoon cruise at 1:30pm CLICK HERE to check availability)
The tour takes place from our purpose-built STABLE whale watching vessel the Amaroo, a comfortable and stable 20 metre (66 foot) stable powered catamaran with 4 main viewing decks outside and under cover and all the facilities you need for a great day on the ocean, including restrooms and a licensed bar.
The Amaroo is captained and crewed by our highly trained and experienced local team. They are passionate about the whales and will provide expert commentary on their behaviour and the history of Hervey Bay.
By booking a whale watch with us you are also entitled to a discount on meals and coffee at the Hervey Bay Boat Club, one of the region's premier dining venues and our departure point for the cruise.
- ALL ARE WELCOME - You do not need to be a member to cruise on our boat.
Members' prices are $10 cheaper than visitors. You can become a member ($15 per year) and use your membership to book for your family and friends. Membership is available ONLINE or at the Boat Club Reception. (There is a small admin joining fee $11 for new members) Members receive discounts on all Boat Club food and drinks, cruises, and cinemas.
